IMHO, the best way is the kindliest way...within limits,
of course! No one wants to hear they are ugly, have no sex
appeal, etc. So kindly and gently should be the watchwords...but
in such a way that the person realizes it is over, and they
must move on. Even a little white lie such as you have met
another that you wish to confine your dating to would work
if all else fails...I have done that on occasion, saying
that I don't feel comfortable dating more than one
person at a time (true); there is isn't much more that
can be said to reply to something like that, other than good
luck and goodbye...
