RE: wanting it all for you silver and gold members?
Actually, I think it would be more fair to those of us who
do pay if those who don't had better service.
First of all, responses. If I've already paid for the
membership, then I should be able to communicate with people
I've initiated contact with openly. It's not
as if they'll be able to use me to talk to anybody else.
Also, rejection (which is a letdown, but useful) would
be more forthcoming, and those who claim they need ones
email to get back to them would be thwarted. (Or at least
those who really only want it to spam)
Second, Profiles and winks. If standard members could
see the profiles, maybe when they see somebody they like,
they'd be more tempted to pay for membership so they
could initiate contact. If they didn't want to pay,
the "wink option" should still be allowed,
that way the other person (Who might already be a paying
member) would have the option of contacting them. This
would be a better indicator to us of whose actually interested.
I'll be honest, I'm starting to regret subscribing
to the premium service. So far, it's not worth it. To
make matters worse, I was stupid enough to pay for the gold
membership. There's really no advantage I can see
other than the top listing and what good is that if nobody
can contact me?
