Not worth the time...
I did the standard member thing for quite some time, since
I was not sure if I wanted to cough up the money for a dating
site. After a while, I though, hokay, standard members
do not get anywhere. The site is very obviously designed
to induce you to pay for membership. So I took the plunge,
you only live once.
Now being a gold member, I can tell you that I will not renew
it. Why?
1) Lack of response. Ladies, if you're not interested,
just respond and say so, will you? It doesn't take that
much effort. Not replying is just plain rude.
2) Sex ad girls. The vast majority of responses I get are
"contact me at this email address" and if you
do, then whaddaya know? On the third page (the one that asks
you for your credit card), that's where all these "personal
details" are supposed to be. Bah! If I wanted porn,
I could find it for free.
3) Even if you upgrade to "gold" you still have
to pay for standard members to contact you. What is this
crap? Didn't I just sign on for all the bells and whistles?
Now I have to pay more? Puh-leeeyuz.
4) Ratio of guys to girls. I'm sure you ladies get inundated
with horny bastards looking for a quickie, and they can
pick and choose all they want. Even the ones that seem real
enough...see #1.
5) Women on this network seem to be looking for a long-term
relationship. The site is centered around the "find
a sex partner" theme. If you want a decent relationship,
then why are you looking in the sex personals? Try another
online dating service.
Thanks, Adult FriendFinder, but this has been a severely disappointing
experience. All I have gotten for my payment are additional
profile views, and come-ons for porn sites designed by
fools who haven't figured out that YOU CAN GET THAT
FOR FREE ANYWHERE.
Best of luck to anyone who thinks this actually works. I'll
keep my standard profile, but only because it's more
effort to delete it than it is to just leave it there.
