Just what is a Standard Member supposed to do?
Here we go again.
Explain to me this new paragraph that appeared over the
past two or three weeks:
Standard members are only allowed to view a limited number
of profiles and reply to one email sent by another member
every 24 hours.
What kind of crap is this? I receive on good days about 5 to
8 decent emails from silver & gold guys. I should be
able to answer them right back if I'm on line. That isn't
so hard to understand; you can TRACK their damn messages
from THEIR email to mine.
Since this little number appeared; I have received absolutely
NO emails in the email in box...not from standard or "premium"
members. I think that you are firewalling the members away
from eachother & you are going to lose both paying &
free ones if you go much further.
If you would like extensive privileges and features, we
recommend upgrading your membership status to Gold or
Silver.
NO. I'm not looking for EXTENSIVE priveledges. I'm
looking for standard ones that include looking at &
being able to read profiles, maybe not search using all
of the handy dandy filters but at least read the profiles,
answer my emails, be able to INVITE people to my network/friends
list & do more than wink at headlines. That really isn't
so much to ask for, now is it? Well, suddenly again it is.
As a standard {non paying female} member I can "browse
through the member profiles" yet I cannot access
them to read without paying you?
Okay, I'm a female, I actually contact the guys that
I'm interested in. I actually WRITE BACK to most of
the people who write to me. I'm an active member &
work with the magazine & do all the nice things that
we're supposed to do. I've also amassed some points.
That being said, I'm not a slut & I'm not about
to abase myself & put up nude photos to make my profile
more "interesting" to become some kind of access
junkie's number cruncher on the site.
I cannot & will not make contact with someone based
on their profile title & a picture of their wanger.
I want to see their zodiac sign, I want to see if they smoke,
I want to see what religion they are, how old they are, where
they are from & what race they are...it matters to ME
that I also see how they write apart from that heading.
I'm not into casually giving out my information based
on headings. I shouldn't be penalized for spammers.
You can check me out, you can email me, you can look at my email
address & check out my websites. I'm a real person
& a valid Adult FriendFinder member. I am not a bot. I am also not going
to give my credit information to some adult verification
organization that I don't know from a boiler room operation
so that they can "verify" that I'm a law
abiding, veteran of the united states navy & a homeowning
american woman.
Don't treat me & all of the other females badly
simply because we are intelligent women who would like
a chance to filter these guys through whatever we feel is
the safest method to meeting them or not.
What you are "giving" us as FREE isn't worth
the time that I spend writing & doing the other things
on the site. I came here because it was the nicest place to
be able to meet guys without some PC god looking over my shoulder
on what I am writing or saying in my email or my network or
anything else. I came here because it was fiscally responsible
to be able to talk with like minded guys who I'd like
to date without slamming my already extended pocket book
further.
I don't smoke, drink or do other things like go to bars
& the like. This is my "girl's night out".
That being said I don't & will not pay to read the
profiles of people who are also on this site to contact like
minded females. I don't go to bars with cover charges
& I don't pay websites for their services.
I understand that sites cost money to run. My sites have
been online since before there was a world wide web &
I fully understand the costs of running one of these things.
However, I came here to access a free site & that included
being able to look at the profiles before attempting a wink
or other form of making contact. When I'm chatting
I want to be able to look at a profile before making any effort
towards getting to know someone. You would not believe
that amounts of teenagers on your chat site that I don't
want to deal with as a 46 year old.
I believe that there should be some autonomy for those of
us who are not paying a dating service but who would like
to connect with like minded folk.
I left Yahoo's site because everything became about
money... I'd hate to have that happen here. Unfortunately,
that is what I SEE happening here. What do you think?
