Teens
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward
for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one
to help him up." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
From the beginning of time, God designed us to need other
people. He made it clear that it is not good for His children
to be alone. This is one reason he put us in families. We need
each other. We need someone to care about what happens to
us; someone to love and cherish us. And we need someone to
love and cherish. Being a part of a family gives us built
in belonging.
While families are foundational to a healthy society and
a happy life, we need more. Besides the love and companionship
of a family, we also need to be part of a community. We need
friends. That's true for your teens and it is also true
for you as a parent of teens.
