I have an addiction...
I have an addiction.. The addiction is you. I couldn't
live without you. I chose you over my kids, my family and
even my friends. I couldn't wait to come home just to
put my arms around you, to feel you near me, to have my lips
touch yours. You.. were my life, my soul, my everything.
Then, one day you couldn't be there for me, you decided
to leave. You said it was for the best. Why? I did what I could
for you. I had given up everything for you. So, what if my
kids didn't like you. So, what if my family didn't
approve of you. So, what if I lost everything for you.. I
was going to prove to them all you were all that I needed.
You were my addiction, and just like any other addiction,
I am going to recover. I don't need someone in my life
like you, I'm to good for you, your just another guy
who couldn't see what was in front of him. I'm getting
back to myself with the people who really love me...MY KIDS,
MY FAMILY AND MY FRIENDS the ones who never left my side no
matter what I've done to hurt them. I'm not ALONE.
I will RECOVER.
